How to prepare to become a loco pilot

Required Qualification for Loco Pilot

To become a loco pilot, you must have passed 10th class from any recognized board, as well as ITI certificate or diploma from NCVT or SCVT is necessary, this diploma should be from ITI or        polytechnic , which is electrical, mechanic, automobile. Should be in any one trade, along with your college should be AICTE certified.

Required age limit for loco pilot

For general category candidates, the age limit should be between 18 to 28 years , and reserved category candidates get relaxation as per rules, for which you are required to give a certificate of reserved category.

Physical Standards for Loco Pilot

There is no rule related to height under physical criteria, but your weight should be according to your height, and most importantly there should not be any problem in your eyes, your visual star card distance vision 6/6, Must be 6/6 without glasses.

The basic salary of Assistant Loco Pilot is Rs 5200 to 20,000, and the grade pay is 1900, all of them together get around Rs 30000 to 32000 as salary.

Assistant Loco Pilot Selection Process  

Presently the selection process of Assistant Loco Pilot will consist of Computer Based Aptitude Test , under which the Computer Based Test is in two major stages, it will have MCQ type questions of 250 marks, candidates will have to complete the exam in 2 hours and 30 minutes, each For wrong answer, there will be 1/3rd negative marking.
